Our nonprofit is named after the original #WarriorPrincess, Keesha Furniss. Diagnosed with stage-4 metastatic breast cancer at the young age of 30, she battled for four years before the disease took her in November 2017. She told us she realized she missed many of the key signs and asked us to share her story with the world - to save other young women - from the pain, suffering, and even death associated with this horrible disease.
Keesha's parents, Bob and Susan Furniss launched the nonprofit to honor their daughter's life - to increase conversations about this often silent killer in women her age. Our board members, Amy Albert, Cheryl Jackson, and Chris Thompson are also strong advocates for the mission. Engaging with hundreds of friends and family around the world, Keesha Warrior Princess is hoping to bring our message to a local and even global audience.
